Default Thanks BTB & Stan....

I must publicly thank Bill & Stan for having us on their show to talk about RingedHooks.com & Spanyid Lures. We are not an advertiser yet on their radio show, however they were courteous and gracious enough to have me on the show twice that they pay for, for FREE. It shows that they are truly dedicated to bringing out the best that they can to the fishing community. They are dedicated to helping out the "little guy's" like us in the tackle industry and I consider them both to be men of great character for helping us out. Now I know that there are many anglers out there promoting our business also (like Wahoodad & Fishordie) and we humbly thank you also. Some businesses it seems that it's "All about the money", Rod & Reel radio is not one of those businesses. We all know that radio is a business that needs to collect money from advertisers to pay the bills, however I have seen first hand that the show is first dedicated to quality content and enhancing the fishing experience for the angler. Personally, I changed my fishing trips for this season to fish with BTB on the RR3 day after thanksgiving trip. Thanks again Bill & Stan.

Default RE: Thanks BTB & Stan....

Wow, Guy that is really nice.

It's hard for some folks to understand the philosophy that we follow. Stan and I decided long ago that we would not exclude any business or product from our program and we also will not just talk and promote our sponsors exclusivly.

All of this comes from my background in the newspaper business. I learned then that you must separate the advertising side from the editorial side of the business. As soon as you start mixing the two, you lose credibility.

Above all, it has to been fun for all of us, and what fun is it if your opinion has been bought and paid for?

Thanks for the good words, Guy. I really look forward to fishing with you on the Thanksgiving 16 day on the Bird. I have made a lot of friends on this trip, you'll like it.
