As our 2012 offshore season comes to a close we had an incredible last trip down into the zone about 75 miles south of our home in San Diego.
We pretty much had it all with jig stops turning into 2 and 3 fish bait stops, kelps that produced as much small yellows as one could catch and the spotty dorado or 2 on some kelps.
The yellowfin were sitting on kelps if you could get away from the yellows, just need to start your chunk and flyline a good 300 yards from the kelp.
I have heard from some others some better grade have been showing up and it was time to find us some of that for the guys....
Angler Rod Halperin did just that by landing this slug yellowfin!
What a way to end the offshore season and what a season it was, THANK YOU FISH GODS for a good one this year!
We also like to thank each and everyone of you that fished with us this season, as we enjoyed every trip with everyone like it was our first!
For those of ya going to continue to get offshore, it looked good just pushing a lil south west every day...
